The CIM Llobregat project in the Plan of Transport Infrastructures of Catalonia (PITC 2005), was started in 1993 by Agreement of the CIMALSA Board of Directors to complete the two metropolitan CIM's planned by the Government of Catalonia: CIM Vallès (North) and CIM Llobregat (South, technically known as CIM Metropolitana II).

This logistics centre will be located in a strategic geographical location on the crossroads of the orbital freeway (4th belt), the A-2 freeway and the AP-7 motorway.

The increase in the demand for logistics land in the primary metropolitan crown and the lack of offer, especially of medium and large warehouses, has awakened the interest in this project from certain private companies.
